Wondering if you'd recognize cyanobacteria/blue-green algae if you saw it? Want to be more informed about water conditions? LCC has produced a short online video of our cyanobacteria monitor training. By watching the 23-minute video you can learn how to distinguish cyanobacteria from other floating phenomena, the health effects of cyanobacteria blooms, the history of the monitoring program including results from 2015, and how to report a bloom. The video will help extend the reach of our monitoring program and increase general knowledge of cyanobacteria in our area.
