Blue-green Algae Conditions Week of September 16, 2013
Check LCC's site weekly for blue-green algae conditions on the lake.
The week of September 16 was the Lake Champlain Committee's (LCC) 14th week of receiving blue-green algae monitoring reports. We received ten new reports, mostly from the Main Lake, since the last weekly update, and there were no reports of blue-green algae blooms. However, Vermont DEC did receive a report of a visible, category 3 bloom from Phillipsburg, Quebec on September 19th. This reminds us that there are still blue-green algae in the water and blooms can still arise.
